Missionary Flight Training Center
Missionary Flight Training Center (MFTC) was founded to train Christian missionary pilots for service in remote areas all over the world. The idea of Missionary Flight Training Center was born through work with a like minded organization, Kingdom Air Corps (www.kingdomaircorps.org), which trains missionary pilots in Alaska. MFTC provides year round flight training to future missionary pilots at an affordable cost.
Applicants for MFTC are evaluated on their call and commitment to full-time missionary pilot service.
MFTC operates out of a 2,700-ft. grass runway, Tarrant Field Airport (6X0), located in Bullard, Texas. While MFTC can provide training for primary, commercial, or add-on ratings, our location is ideal for instrument instruction. Our location in East Texas provides many options for instrument approaches at nearby Class D, Class C and Class B airports.
Missionary Flight Training Center is a non-profit ministry that is only able to operate through generous donations of money, equipment, and airplanes. Flight instruction is donated by Certified Flight Instructors and the airplanes are maintained by volunteer A&P mechanics. This allows flight training cost to be greatly reduced in hopes to get more people to the mission field. If you are looking to get involved, please contact us by phone or email.

Brief History
Texas Air Corps was founded in 2021 by Mike Miller, who is a pastor and flight instructor. The vision was born through working with a like minded organization, Kingdom Air Corps, which has a similar vision of training missionary pilots in Alaska. The name was changed in early 2025 to better proclaim what we do. Missionary Flight Training Center (MFTC) provides quality flight training year round.
